Weronika earned a diploma with distinction in Master of Fine Arts in Film Directing from the University of Edinburgh, College of Art. She also completed her studies in Cinematography and Film Production at San Jose State University in California
As a director, she seeks out profound stories and visual authenticity, with a keen interest in metaphysical themes and unsettling narratives from overlooked areas of the world.
Her debut short documentary, Susurrus, which explores the life of a local witch, has gained international recognition, being shortlisted for various festivals and winning the 'Best Student Film' category at the Los Angeles International Short Film Festival.
Having spent much of her adult life abroad, she is particularly drawn to the untold stories of the Central European region, offering a unique outsider's perspective while capturing the essence of an insider.
